Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Supervisor of Environmental Services to oversee the environmental staff across the Juve Behavioral Health Pavillon, Akron City Campus and Barberton Campus. This role directs night shift operations and weekend coverage, ensuring cleaning standards and patient safety.

The ideal candidate will possess a High School diploma, at least one year of housekeeping or service industry experience, and must obtain a Housekeeping Certification within the first year and maintain IEHA

Qualifications

Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
One year housekeeping experience or service industry experience, or combination that has provided customer service and leadership.
Must attain Housekeeping Certification within first year of employment and maintain IEHA membership.

Responsibilities

Supervise environmental staff and oversee operations during the night shift and weekends.
Ensure adherence to infection control principles and safety procedures.
Coordinate with hospital leadership to maintain cleanliness and regulatory compliance.

Summary

Supports the operation of the physical plant of hospital and supervises environmental staff. Assigns responsibility for the Environmental Services department during night shifts, and during the weekend.

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience & Training Required: One year housekeeping experience, service industry experience (e.g., fast food, retail, hospitality), or combination that has provided skill in customer service and leadership.
Must attain Housekeeping Certification within first year of employment at Summa Health and maintain membership in International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA).
