Role Description The Suppression System Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire suppression systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing troubleshooting and repairs, documenting service activities, and communicating findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams. The specialist will provide technical support on suppression systems, coordinate with project managers and field technicians, and ensure all work adheres to safety procedures and regulatory requirements. The role may also involve participating in equipment upgrades, assisting with system designs, and supporting customer training on system operation and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support for fire suppression systems and related components.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and vendors, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with fire suppression systems, Ansul, Kidde, Amerex, Badger, or related mechanical/electrical fields.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and code requirements (e.g., NFPA standards, local regulations).
• High attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to follow established procedures and guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
• Relevant certifications or licenses in fire protection, suppression systems, or a related trade are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in fire protection, electronics, or mechanical systems is a plus.
