Job summary

Richardson Fire Equipment is seeking a Suppression System Specialist for an on-site role in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. You will install, inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems, diagnose issues, perform repairs, and document activities while coordinating with project managers and field technicians.

The role emphasizes compliance with NFPA standards, safety, and customer communication, with opportunities to grow technical skills within the fire protection industry.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving to identify root causes.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support for fire suppression systems.
• Effective communication with customers, team members, and vendors.
• Experience with fire suppression systems and brands (Ansul, Kidde, Amerex, Badger) or related mechanical/electrical fields.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and NFPA/code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire suppression systems in accordance with codes and manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose system issues and perform troubleshooting and repairs; document service activities.
• Coordinate with project managers and field technicians; communicate findings to customers.
• Ensure work adheres to safety procedures and regulatory requirements; support training as needed.
