Job summary

NJAC is seeking a Residential Assistant to provide 24-hour staffing in a supportive housing program for men living with HIV/AIDS. You will help with crisis intervention, daily living tasks, and health-related programming to promote wellness and independence.

The role requires vigilance, documentation, and collaboration with case managers. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred; HS diploma required with AA degree preferred. A driver’s license is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility to ensure safety and security of all residents.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with medical or crisis services as needed.
• Assist residents with daily living tasks and provide orientation to new residents.
• Maintain logs and incident reports; ensure confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Support health education and wellness programming with case managers and educators.
