Abilene ISD's Long Early Learning Center is seeking an instructional aide to support certified teachers by preparing materials, assisting with activities, and guiding small groups of students throughout the day.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work well with children, and clear communication. Paraprofessional Academy or an associate degree is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth on-site at AISD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Paraprofessional certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under teacher direction, work with individuals or small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Support with administration and scoring of tests and required reports.
• Help maintain a neat, orderly classroom and assist with equipment care.
• Supervise students during meals, bus, and play areas as assigned.
• Participate in staff development and school events.
