Job summary

Academy ISD District Wide - Little River-Academy, Texas seeks an Instructional Aide to support students under a certified teacher’s supervision. You will help prepare activities, manage classroom tasks, and assist with instructional materials and testing.

Qualifications include an Associate degree or higher, a Texas educational aide certificate, and experience with children. This is a nonexempt, hourly position with a focus on Life Skills support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college study or NCLB equivalency.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under teacher direction; work with individuals or small groups.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom; manage inventory of equipment.
• Keep administrative records and reports; orient substitutes.
