Job summary

Boise Kid Co. in Boise, Idaho is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teachers and nurture young learners in a warm, safe classroom environment.

This role runs Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm with no nights or weekends; requires a high school diploma or GED, background checks, and a positive team attitude; CDA is a plus. Compensation ranges from $14-$17 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Previous childcare or classroom experience is a plus.
• CDA or higher is a plus.
• Ability to pass all required background checks.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities.
• Help implement activities that support children’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and continuously grow in your role.
• Follow all licensing, safety, and center policies.
