A local rehabilitation services provider in Reading, PA, is looking for a Supported Living Specialist. The role involves assisting individuals with disabilities in managing daily activities and ensuring their safety. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid PA driver’s license, and some experience with mental health support. This full-time position offers a competitive starting rate of $16.75 an hour along with benefits including medical, dental, and paid time off.

Position

The Supported Living Specialist must work with minimal supervision, be flexible, have a HS diploma, valid PA driver\'s license, access to a vehicle, a safe driving record. Two years\' experience working with people with disabilities, preferably mental illness, is a plus. Knowledge of community resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include assisting individuals with money management, medical appointments, monitoring medications and maintaining safety in their own homes/apartments, participating in teams, and other tasks as needed to enhance the quality of the individuals\' lives.

Training and Schedule

Threshold provides comprehensive paid training for all employees.

The hours are primarily dayshift, 40 hours, flexible, including some hours on the weekend if needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years' experience working with persons with a mental health diagnosis is a plus
• Valid PA Driver's License
• PA Motor Vehicle Record Check
• Use of vehicle while working with valid registration and insurance coverage indicating you are an insured driver
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish, preferred
• Computer knowledge is a must
• Pre-employment Drug Screen
• PA Criminal History Clearance
• FBI Clearance (if candidate has not been a resident of PA for the past two consecutive years)
