Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a Supported Employment Specialist in Maryland to help individuals with disabilities pursue personal, social, and vocational goals. The role involves direct client counseling, résumé development, and job development, with regular employer outreach and on-site visits across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences (or equivalent experience), access to a personal vehicle, and be committed to full-time work (40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle to assist clients as needed.
• Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week to be eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality vocational supports including resume building and job development.
• Network with local employers to educate them on hiring incentive benefits.
• Assist clients in maintaining employment by frequent visits to the work site.
• Support individuals with disabilities to achieve personal, social, and vocational goals.
• Coordinate services to remove barriers and enhance quality of life.
