Job summary

Brightli is seeking a Supported Employment Manager to lead our Employment Services team in Springfield, MO. You will guide staff, manage programs, and partner with community organizations to expand access to meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities.

You will oversee service quality, compliance, performance metrics, and fiscal management while mentoring staff and building lasting relationships with funders and employers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Services, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required for designated DD waiver services with Professional Management functions.
  • Documentation of professional credentials as required by funding/regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with disabilities and barriers to employment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employment service programs to help individuals achieve successful employment, independence, and quality-of-life outcomes.
  • Develop and mentor team members through coaching, training, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, community partners, employers, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
  • Oversee client services, referrals, team assignments, and program operations to ensure timely, effective service delivery.
  • Monitor employment outcomes, placement rates, retention rates, client satisfaction, and program performance metrics.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, screen applicants, interview candidates, hire staff, and maintain personnel records.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements, CARF standards, contractual obligations, and organizational policies.
  • Oversee billing, reimbursement documentation, invoicing, payroll, and financial processes within assigned service areas.
  • Track revenue and expenses while supporting fiscal viability and growth of programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support employment service programs to help individuals achieve successful employment, independence, and quality-of-life outcomes.
  • Develop and mentor team members through coaching, training, performance management, and ongoing professional development.

  • Oversee client services, referrals, team assignments, and program operations to ensure timely, effective service delivery.
  • Monitor employment outcomes, placement rates, retention rates, client satisfaction, and program performance metrics.
  • Conduct field observations, documentation reviews, quality management reviews, and performance evaluations to ensure service excellence.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, screen applicants, interview candidates, hire staff, and maintain personnel records.
  • Manage employee scheduling, leave requests, staffing needs, and workforce planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements, CARF standards, contractual obligations, organizational policies, and best practices.
  • Monitor client records and databases to ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation.
  • Oversee billing, reimbursement documentation, invoicing activities, payroll functions, and financial processes within assigned service areas.
  • Track revenue and expenses while supporting the fiscal viability and growth of assigned programs.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and identify opportunities for service enhancement, expansion, and new funding sources.
  • Represent the organization through networking, marketing, community outreach, and advocacy activities.
  • Provide direct services and maintain a client caseload when needed to support operational and staffing needs.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Social Services, Business, or a similar discipline preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of leadership experience providing employment services, personnel supervision, social services, or other related professional experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required when serving in designated Developmental Disabilities waiver services requiring Professional Management functions.
  • Relevant professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree where permitted.
  • Must maintain documentation of professional credentials as required by funding and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment, education, or independent living preferred.
Additional Qualifications
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.
  • Successful completion of background screening, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect screening, and fingerprint check.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet-based applications, and other electronic systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information, facilitate training, market services, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to analyze performance data, monitor outcomes, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge of employment services, workforce development, personnel management, and community-based support programs.
Physical Requirements
  • Perform sedentary work, including exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
  • Sit for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-based work.
  • Frequently use hands, fingers, and arms for typing, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Occasionally walk and stand while conducting meetings, observations, trainings, or other work-related activities.
