Job summary

Standard Nursing Agency in Brent urgently seeks experienced Support Workers to provide care in homes or community settings for elderly service users with complex needs.

You will join a compassionate, reliable team, performing practical tasks, personal care and documentation while safeguarding and promoting dignity. Eligibility to work in the UK and an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with PEG feeding, stoma care, hoists and moving/handling equipment.
• Medication management for service users.
• Epilepsy management and catheter care.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Strong communication, professionalism and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Undertake practical tasks as required (cooking, washing up, laundry).
• Assist service users with domestic and personal care.
• Identify individual needs and ensure appropriate support is provided.
• Maintain health care and personal hygiene.
• Report incidents/complaints to Line Manager.
• Keep accurate records as per policies.
• Undertake tasks in response to changing service needs.
