Job summary

The Woodbridge-based healthcare service is seeking a motivated Senior Support Worker to provide high-quality care in a home-based setting. You will join a dedicated team supporting residents in a range of care needs, including dementia and convalescence care, under an established provider.

Key duties include supervising staff, contributing to care planning, and ensuring accurate documentation. The role offers a permanent full-time contract, 36 hours per week, day shifts, with benefits such as

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience in a care setting preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
• Contribute to care planning and coaching of support workers.
• Promote services when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
• Update and write care plans and resident documentation.
• Make and report realistic assessments to ensure continuity of care.

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional home based in the Woodbridge, Suffolk area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading healthcare providers

This special service specialises in a range of care services, including: residential care, respite care, dementia care and convalescence care

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

As the Senior Support Worker your key duties include:

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• A good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Have a genuine desire to care for others

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £13.80 -£14.00 per hour - Pay frequency is monthly.
