Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We’re looking for candidates who are caring, dedicated, love working with people and share the values that make our charity so special. At Hyndelle Lodge you will be supporting 10 individuals, with a range of different needs, to help them to live their best life possible. Some individuals are in wheelchairs, some have more complex needs and others are non verbal, but all have different challenges in their lives which include learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and acquired brain injuries.

Hyndelle Lodge has a communal lounge, communal garden and a sensory room. The people we support here, like to watch tv together, do group activities, eat together or just socialise with each other. Other Hobbies and interests vary from dancing, walking, weekends away, playing pool, fishing, watching TV and getting involved with quizzes.

Our colleagues work from 8am-10pm and 10pm to 8am to support us during the day and night. We can have up to ten colleagues working during the day and we have five colleagues during the night with one sleep in duty also.

We need people that are empathetic, patient and have good communication skills. Training for Moving and Positioning, Complex Care, Medication and Emergency First Aid, as well as MAPA and Positive Behaviour Support.

You’ll be able to come to work every day and use the very best of your personality and skills, as you support people who share your interests to do the things they love the most.
