Job summary

AAR in Rockford, Illinois is seeking an Avionics Support Technician to perform avionics routine work on heavy aircraft and support the 4:00 PM–2:30 AM swing shift.

You will read and implement maintenance manuals, troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems, and perform installations under supervision; a high school diploma is required.

Job description

Avionics Support Technician is responsible for effectively performing avionics routine work associated with heavy aircraft A, B, C, and D checks. This position will be working swing shift (4:00PM-2:30AM).

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Must be able to read and comprehend technical direction and documentation.
• Reads, understands, and implements directions of appropriate maintenance manuals to identify and locate associated components on the aircraft.
• Troubleshooting aircraft avionics and electrical systems using approved technical data and supervision.
• Performing avionics and electrical systems using approved technical data and supervision.
• Performing avionics and electrical modifications with supervision.
• Understanding engineering methodology for systems installations.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Aviation or mechanical maintenance experience preferred.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $16.84 to $21.27 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
