Job summary

AAR is seeking a Production Planner to develop and monitor maintenance projects in the Rockford, IL area. You will serve as the main liaison with customers and maintenance divisions, ensuring clear communication on status and timelines.

You will also develop planning templates, track progress, forecast inventory, and coordinate with maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure project success. A HS diploma and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant technical training is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in standard English.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance tracking software.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional and courteous interpersonal skills to interact with employees across all departments and external customers.
  • Previous experience in maintenance planning, data entry, or similar operational support role within the aviation industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive maintenance workload packages to ensure technicians have clear, accurate instructions and documentation.
  • Forecast inventory needs to maintain optimal stock levels, appropriate inventory mix, and overall program efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including maintenance, supply chain, and engineering – to ensure seamless execution of maintenance projects.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational objectives.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $19.90 to $25.50 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
