Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an EVS Support Staff member for part-time hours (20 hours per week) onsite. You will perform daily cleaning of assigned areas using approved procedures and chemicals, ensuring a safe patient and staff environment.

Duties include cleaning high touch surfaces, restrooms, floors, and stocking supplies, while following safety protocols and using proper PPE. You will work as part of the facilities team to maintain cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for the daily cleaning of assigned areas using accepted practices and procedures.
• Performs work duties in accordance with standard procedures and processes.
• Duties include the daily cleaning of window ledges, doors handles & push bars, elevator buttons, furniture, trash cans, Purell stands, rails, ledges and other high touch surfaces specific to assigned area using approved chemicals and ensure proper PPE is worn.
• Duties include vacuuming and dusting of surfaces, sweeping and mopping of hard surface floors.
• Cleaning and stocking of supplies in non-patient restrooms.
• Performs tasks efficiently.
• Observes all safety procedures.
• Other duties as required.
