Ochsner Health in Kenner, LA is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to clean and service guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative areas. The employee maintains a clean and aseptic environment and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The role requires reading, writing and speaking English to follow instructions, with preferred completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
This job cleans and services areas such as guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative areas. The employee is responsible for maintaining a clean and aseptic environment. To be successful, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required – None (Ability to read, write and speak/understand verbal communication in English in order to follow instructions and perform daily tasks)
Preferred – High school diploma or equivalent
Required – Experience in operating environmental services equipment (including dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, and dustpan)
Preferred – 1 year relevant experience
Heavy work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Mechanical lifting devices or team lifts should be utilized. Must be able to work with and around chemicals, both acidic and alkaline in nature. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
