Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $16.00 - $21.00 Hourly

We’re looking for Support Staff team members who are passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction & Front Desk Support

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, whether in person or over the phone.
  • Complete patient check-in and monitor waiting area, offering assistance with basic needs and questions.
  • Check patients out promptly to ensure accurate tracking of appointments.
  • Confirm daily appointments and assist with scheduling follow-ups.
  • Direct patients to Patient Representatives for financial assistance.
  • Schedule appointments with Financial Eligibility staff as needed.
  • Educate patients on the medical home model of care, provider designation, and care team structure.
  • Provide support staff coverage at other clinics within the same service line as needed (medical, dental, or behavioral health).

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Verify and print provider schedules throughout the day.
  • Respond to internal requests from clinics, departments, and partner organizations.
  • Complete inbox, email, and EHR task responses in a timely manner.
  • Clear out uncollected patient medications and documents weekly.
  • Verify insurance coverage and co-pays, and audit daily encounters.
  • Actively participate in monthly clinic meetings.

Payment Collection & Reconciliation

  • Collect payments and make bank deposits according to cashier protocols.
  • Reconcile daily cash collections and maintain organized cash drawers.
  • Reference and utilize the fee schedule appropriately.
  • Process cash, check, and credit card payments for insurance co-pays, sliding fee, and private pay patients.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BLS certification/training will be provided upon employment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills in both personal and phone interactions.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and provide cross-clinic support.
