Job description

Team members in this role must demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple locations and perform various department roles as assigned by leadership. These roles include Environmental Services Tech, Nutrition Services Tech, Patient Transport, and Supply Chain Material Coordinator and Receptionist. The specific position will be defined by the department based on needs. Depending on the assignment, individuals must meet the requirements of the relevant job profile.

These team members are responsible for maintaining shift accountability for support services duties in a cost-effective and efficient manner. They also provide training to new and existing staff on departmental procedures, quality, safety, and customer service standards.

Essential Functions
  1. Work collaboratively to contribute to the overall success of Corewell Health, referring to the specific duties outlined in each job profile.
  2. Communicate effectively with hospital staff, visitors, and patients/residents to ensure excellent customer service and care, including greeting and assisting with hospital navigation. This position supports a positive patient experience by maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  3. Complete assigned special projects with clear directions.
  4. Train and provide ongoing instruction to new and existing staff.
  5. Act as team lead during supervisor absence and report work-related issues to higher-ups.
  6. Assign, coordinate, inspect work, and conduct quality assurance inspections.
  7. Ensure services comply with all relevant regulations, accreditation, and organizational policies.
  8. Support operations across multiple campus locations as needed.
Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience, including tasks outlined in the job profile or related roles.

Preferred

  • 1 year of relevant experience in customer service or related fields
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Certifications such as BLS, Patient Transport, CHEST, or ServSafe, as specified with respective durations.
