Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader for our Raritan, NJ location. Monday–Friday with alternating Saturday shift, 8:30am–5pm, you will supervise day-to-day operations and guide a team to ensure accurate specimen processing and efficient workflows.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or warehouse setting. Associate’s degree preferred; strong Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Preferred: 6 months or more supervising or leading a team.
• Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Specimen Processing department.
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas.
• Encourage process improvements and best practices.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Resolve production errors as requested by management.
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.

Role

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team at Raritan, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday with alternating Saturday, 8:30am-5pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Specimen Processing department
• Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas

• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Resolve any production errors as requested by management
• Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
• Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
• Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures
• Perform administrative duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 or more years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree
• 6 months or more of experience in a clinical laboratory
• 6 months or more supervising or leading a team

Job Standards

• Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $21 - $25/hr. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
