Job summary

Labcorp in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Specimen Processor I for a casual/PRN role with hours as needed (Mon–Fri 7:00pm–3:30am and rotating Saturdays). You will prepare specimens, label, route to staging areas, and assist with shipping and data entry, contributing to production goals in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of lab or medical production experience, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Color blindness testing is part of the standard screening.

Work Schedule: This is a casual/PRN position; hours will be "as needed" but the start and end times will vary Monday – Friday 7:00pm – 3:30am, and rotating Saturdays.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
• 1 year or more of medical or production experience

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour

Benefits:

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
