The schedule for this position will be: Sunday - Thursday (9:00pm-5:30am) and every 3rd Friday.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Assist in supervising the day-to-day operations of the department.
2. Help lead the team in their processes and procedures.
3. Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
4. Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas.
5. Encourage process improvements and best practices.
6. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
7. Resolve production errors as requested by management and research solutions, escalating when necessary.
8. Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
9. Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
10. Perform administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Associates or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
3. At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical laboratory.
4. Prior leadership experience is a plus.
5. Familiarity with laboratory operations, policies, and procedures is preferred.
6. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. High attention to detail, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
9. Strong critical thinking skills to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
10. Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
