Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open or unassigned routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to route completion, with 10–15 hours of overtime per week and optional weekend OT. Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission or willingness to learn.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to efficiently use space and prevent damage.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
