Job summary

Taghleef Industries, Inc. in Indiana is seeking an entry-level Support Operator to assist in packaging finished film for the Food industry. You will support packaging, labeling, audits, and movement of film, following GMP and safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to work a 3-day/12-hour shift, lift 50 lbs, and proficient basic math and data entry skills. Training provided; drug screen and background check required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete required skills assessment/testing.
• Must be able to work in moderately heavy manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work 3-day/12-hour shift with overtime as required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to perform basic math functions and daily data entry.
• Must understand basic computer skills and data entry requirements.
• Must operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Package and movement of completed film products.
• Weigh and label film by following operation instructions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Support Operator

The Support Operator is an entry level position with lots of immediate growth potential. The successful Support Operator will demonstrate strong communication skills and a real commitment to their quality of work, ensuring a superior customer experience, with a key focus on safety, quality, and cleanliness. The focus of this position is the packaging of completed film for the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Package and movement of completed film products.
• Weigh and label film by following operation instructions.
• Perform audits to ensure packaging integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Effective communicates with others.
• Works to resolve quality issues, equipment problems, or people issues until an adequate solution is attained.
• Perform assignedGood Manufacturing Practice Regulations (GMP) activities in the individual’s work area as defined.
• Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.
• Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.
• Operates a variety material handling vehicles and equipment.
• Completes all required safety activities as outlined in plant safety rules.
• Demonstrates a strong desire to succeed and develop within the company.

Requirements

• Must be able to withstand continuous periods of moving, walking, bending, stooping, keeling, twisting motion, climbing and descending stairs and ladders in an effort to perform most tasks
• Must be mentally sharp and quick to respond
• Must be able to perform basic math functions
• Must understand basic computer skills and perform “daily” data entry tasks/requirements
• Must be able to operate a fork truck and/or pallet jack
