Job summary

Taghleef Industries seeks an Application Engineer to act as the main technical liaison among customers, converters, end users and Ti teams. You will deliver expert service during trials and difficulties, design and oversee label film trials, and communicate results across the organization.

You will train customers and internal teams on film technology, support sales with value propositions, and help align product specifications with market needs in a fast-paced, multinational setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • 3–7 years of work experience in projects allied with Sales, Marketing, Product Development or other strategic commercial areas.
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical assignments in a manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership and plastics/films industry knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Be the technical liaison between customers, converters and end users, and internal Ti functions.
  • Provide service through visits and consultations during difficulties and investigations with the sales team.
  • Participate in business development meetings and label film trials with customers as needed.
  • Plan and communicate trial activities and results to Ti and customers or co-suppliers.
  • Assist with customer and internal training on film design, production, conversion, and selling.
  • Support Sales with product value propositions and differentiation.

Responsibilities:
  • Becomeknownandrecognizedasalabelfilmsapplicationsexpertwithexpertiseandknowledgeoffilmproperties,formulations,filmmanufacturingandslitting.
  • Provideunparalleledservicethroughvisitsandconsultationwithcustomers,especiallyintimesoftechnicaldifficulties,duringclaimsinvestigationswithsalesteam.
  • Participateinbusinessdevelopmentteammeetingsandinmeetingswithcustomerstohelpdesign,implement(andattend)neworimprovedlabelsfilmtrialsasnecessary.
  • Plan,participateinandcommunicatetrialactivities.ConveyresultsatalllevelswithinTiand/oratcustomersorco-suppliers,asrequiredtoimprovethebusiness.
  • Assistwithcustomerandinternaltrainingandeducationontechnicalaspectsofthelabel’sfilmsdesign,production,conversion,application,marketingandselling.
  • SupportSaleswithcorrectcompanyandproductvaluepropositionsandtrainingregardingproductdifferentiation.
  • SupportProductManagersandMarketingwithcreationandchoiceofcriticalmessagingoflabelsfilmstechnicalvaluepropositions andcontinuouslytrackproductperformanceinmarketinrelationtosuchvaluepropositions.
  • SupportProductManagerswithproductspecificationoversight,aligningsuchwithfitnessformakeandmarketfitness-for-useinapplication.
  • CoordinateactivitiesandinteractionswithintheTifunctionalgroupstoensurethatidentifiedcustomerneedsarecommunicated,understood,metandservicedwithbestproductvalueandservicepropositions.
  • PlanningandexecutingthemosteffectivetestsandfilmtrialsformarketpenetrationbyworkingwithSales,Customers,TestingLaboratory,Manufacturing,Co-SuppliersandR&Dintheinterestsofimprovedbusiness.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • EducationLevel:MinimumcollegeeducationofaBachelor'sdegreeinChemistryorEngineering,preferablyChemicalEngineering,butotherEngineeringdegreesarealsodesirable.
  • YearsandWorkExperience:Atleast3-7yearsofworkexperiencewithnotableaccomplishmentsinOperationalProjectsalliedwithSales,Marketing,ProductDevelopmentorotherstrategiccommercialareas.
  • Atleast3-5yearsofexperienceintechnicalassignmentsinamanufacturingorganization.
  • Demonstratedsuccessfulandinfluentialleadershipworkaccomplishments.
  • PlasticsandFilmsindustryexperienceandknowledgeverybeneficial.
