Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a manufacturing technician to set up and operate a variety of equipment, including CNC-related processes, to support multiple operations. A respirator may be required, along with the ability to pass health and safety tests.

You will interpret detailed drawings, load/unload parts with cranes and forklifts, and follow established procedures to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience with blasting, manual mills, lathes, and laser applications.

Set-up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment (some requiring using CNC controls) for multiple operations to include but not limited to Blaster, Laser Drillers, bonding process, heat treatment, manual machining and hand tools, etc. Must have the ability to wear a respirator

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Embrace Safety & Quality Culture.
  • Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials
  • Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and figure out necessary tools to perform required machining operations
  • Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
  • Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.
What You Bring
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrate the ability and skills in blasting, operating manual mills, lathes, and variety of hand tools, and laser applications.
  • Required Fork truck/crane license (Active or ability to obtain it immediately on selection) and Career Readiness / Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status.
  • Proficient with mechanical aptitude, loading/unloading workpieces, adhering to QA protocols, performing complex metrology, and interpreting complex drawings; strong shop math skills.
  • Ability to wear a respirator. Successful applicants must also be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required to perform the duties.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
