Job summary

Love Creamery is seeking a detail-oriented Support Crew member to help produce ice cream in a fast-paced environment and assist in bakery and production areas. You will help with labeling, packing, cleaning, stocking ingredients, and serving in both front and back of house roles.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn. The role includes daily prep, clean up, and the potential to advance to other roles within a year based on performance and skills.

Qualifications

• Preference to those with 6 months previous food service work experience.
• Ability to access and navigate the production and retail facility.
• Ability to stand eight hours, lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and take required breaks on time.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Passion for food, farming, cooking, teamwork, and quality.
• If a student applicant, you must be available 2 days spring, fall semester and a minimum 3 days in summer with no more than 10 days total vacation total during June 1 – September 15.
• State food handler’s permit required(can obtain once hired)
• Demonstrates self-motivation while also being a dedicated team player
• Dedication to cleanliness and organization
• Great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions with precision as well as give great attention to detail
• Ability to text and/or check email regularly

Responsibilities

• Properly make, record and label baked items and sauces.
• Thoughtfully complete daily cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of kitchen and dishes are clean and organized, cleaning as you go, with attention to detail, while following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Properly label, date, pack, and store up to 400 or more containers each day while maintaining accurate production logs.
• Accurately inventory tubs, pints, toppings, and bases to inform the daily production plan.
• Accurately follow detailed written protocols to prepare and store Love Creamery branded items including ice cream, sorbet, toppings, and inclusions
• Consistently meet production numbers.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the team including Front and Back of house
• Ability to measure ingredients accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Love Creamery’s Support Crew will work in high volume icecream production both in the Front of House and Back of House operations. On an average day, our support crew are working to music or podcasts while assisting in our Bakery & Ice cream makers with baking, cleaning, dishwashing, stocking ingredients, packing pints, and adding inclusions – all to support the churning out large batches of ice cream, OR helping make cones, work the register and keeping our front of house clean. Our support team members often grow into other roles within a year and can advance into other roles as they demonstrate consistent skills, knowledge and perfection.

COMPENSATION

• Starting wage $13-$15 based on role, with incremental, merit-based raises.
• Flexible scheduling, posted two weeks at a time with the ability to trade shifts
• Immediate ESSL with Paid Time Off after 6 consecutive months of employment and average of 25 hours per work week
• Matching 401k after 12 months of employment (must meet age requirement)
