Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Supply Technician for Marine Corps options, onsite in Oklahoma. The role supports depot/local supply activities, with focus on standard procedures, safety, and compliance.

Expect working knowledge of supply systems, and ability to move equipment using forklifts and MHE. Position is contingent on contract award and funding; start date depends on funding confirmation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical military logistics procedures.
• 5+ years of experience with logistics STAMIS, instruction, teaching, mentoring experience.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• REAL ID-compliant driver’s license.
• Ability to receive favorable TIER-1 Investigation results, obtain and maintain a CAC.
• High School Diploma / GED.

Responsibilities

• Good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• Understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
• Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE to safely move and stage equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

SCA Wage Rate: $26.08/HR with and additional $5.09/HR in Health & Welfare Benefits.

This Supply Technician - MCSOA position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is differentiated by Marine commodity area or Marine function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management US Marine operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of MCSOA requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be offered but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed

Desired Qualifications

• Certification in logistics STAMIS (i.e. SARSS, SAMS-E, GCSS-A).


• Forklift/MHE operation certification (OF 346) preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.


• Periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
