The Supply Technician Lead reports directly to the Production Supervisor. The Supply Technician Lead is responsible for conducting logistical operations in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. The Supply Technician Will serve as the subject matter expert for logistical and supply management functions within the warehouse. Will be expected to provide sound and precise data to leadership whenever solutions are required. The Supply Technician will also need to have knowledge of operational policies and supply procedures to better support the customers.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Leads and directs the work of personnel within the Stock Control section.
  • Works with a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process.
  • Receive Issue shipping instructions from units and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Assist with the planning, development and implementation of office and warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • Requisitions material to meet mission requirements.
  • Oversees and conducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulations.
  • Maintains property and equipment IAW Army regulations, PWS, SOP, and Work Instructions.
  • Ensures all Annual/Cyclic inventories are conducted IAW current regulatory procedure.
  • Analyzes, produces, and generates statistical data and reports to ascertain trends, conformance to standards and directives and efficiency of operations.
  • Maintains all historical files, supporting documents and other required records; ensuring all files are stored IAW the Army Records Information System (ARIMS) Administrative Adjustment Reports, hand receipt, requisitions, turn-in, issue, and transfer documents.
  • Coordinates and manages the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, equipment and other warehouses.
  • Ensures that all safety precautions are adhered to at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with all properly authenticated directives within established guidelines.
  • Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

  • Standard office equipment, associated computer applications.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.
  • Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Activities will revolve around extended periods of sitting and communicating via email and telephone.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for computer work and data manipulation.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs unassisted.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
  • GCSS-Army certified (Plant 2001 - SSA), must be able to obtain within three months of employment
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three to five years of supply operations/ logistical management experience
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and logistical management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure an effective approach to resolving issues of logistical concern.
  • Knowledge of the applicable GCSS-Army and regulatory supply systems.
  • Lead and direct other employees' daily tasks in accordance with mission requirements.
  • Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
