Duties
  • Process requisitions for ordering supplies, materials, spare parts and services including research for unusual, hard to find and urgent items.
  • Ensure requisitions contain proper justification, authorization and funding source.
  • Ensure mandatory government sources are used to obtain materials and services.
  • Assist in developing and implementing local procedures for ordering with government purchase cards.
  • Process receipt of procured items, verifying quantity and quality of received items.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and monitor outstanding purchase obligations and commitments to ensure that excess amounts are reduced.
  • Conduct annual personal property inventories.
  • Usage of multiple software programs.
Conditions of employment

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated supply systems to account for property, inventory control, acquisition of supplies and equipment, performing inventory management, and receipt and storage of supplies and equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service at the GS-06 or equivalent.

Time in Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Education
