Job summary

Bestica is hiring a Supply Technician to provide services at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. The role requires knowledge of USAF supply systems (DMLSS), at least 6 months in a warehouse setting, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

A valid driver’s license and safety compliance are essential. Responsibilities include receiving, storage, verification of supplies, and handling of controlled/dangerous materials.

Qualifications

• The contractor shall have a good working knowledge of the USAF governing supply systems to include; Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• A minimum of 6 months experience is required in the supply or warehouse setting, Medical Supply is ideal.
• The contractor is required to have a valid driver’s license and shall be required to operate hand trucks.
• Education: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of OSHA and AFOSH ground safety standard, Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel protective equipment for warehouse operation.
• Contractor must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place with their company, and the company must provide a copy to the Program Manager of this task order.
• Contractor must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform regular physical work required for handling and moving medical supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform supply technician activities including receiving, delivering and disposition of supplies, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, verification of materials against receiving documents, reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials.
• Verify delivery, receipt, storage, and issue of incoming supplies and apply handling procedures for controlled items, gases, hazardous materials, and refrigerated/frozen materials.
• Transport supplies and equipment between medical logistics and base support activities and customers.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in hi-bay and equipment room, and recycle cardboard.

Description of Services

T This effort includes tasks and activities to be performed by the contractor in support of USAFSAM/ET. The contractor shall provide services, supply warehouse support, and assistance in areas required to meet the stated objectives and to accomplish the work required. The requirements are for medical logistics in direct support of USAF, DoD, and in operational settings.

Highly Desired Qualifications

• Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business.
• Experience in the logistics section within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Prior military experience as a logistician (4A1) with exposure to logistics, supply and/or medical units. M

Tasks

• The contractor shall be required to perform supply technician activities including: receiving, delivering and disposition of supplies, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, verification of materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment and/or disposition.
• The contractor shall be required to perform verification of delivery, receipt, storage, and issue of incoming supplies. The contractor shall apply special handling procedures for the following: controlled medical items, gases, precious metals, dangerous and hazardous material, and refrigerated and frozen materials.
• The contractor shall be required to transport supplies and equipment between medical logistics and base support activities and customers.
• The contractor shall maintain thorough housekeeping standards by cleaning the hi-bay and equipment room and sweeping/mopping the warehouse on a regular basis. The contractor shall also be responsible for recycling the cardboard by placing it in the appropriate dumpster.
