Job summary

nVent is seeking a procurement analyst to analyze spend, conduct market research, and support cost-reduction initiatives across sourcing projects. You will collaborate with project leads, category managers, and cross-functional teams to optimize supplier selection and performance while adhering to standardized processes.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, dashboard development, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or related analytical role; manufacturing exp is a plus.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Experience supporting cost-reduction initiatives and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to prioritize multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) and ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Proficient in SQL, data validation, and data quality management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spend across categories and perform detailed supply market analyses.
• Partner with Project Leads and Category Managers to develop cost-reduction initiatives.
• Conduct supplier benchmarking and market research for cost and supply opportunities.
• Develop supplier identification strategies and cost-comparison methodologies.
• Support sourcing events, supplier evaluations, and negotiations with data-driven analysis.
• Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, and industry developments affecting metals sourcing.
• Ensure adherence to standardized sourcing processes and implement efficiencies.
• Optimize supply management systems and reporting tools for better decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, operations to support category goals.
• Develop reports and dashboards supporting strategic sourcing initiatives.
