The Supply Chain Technician I performs essential materials, distribution, and logistics tasks within the Materials Management Department to support clinical activities across the medical complex. The role involves determining replenishment requirements, locating, selecting, issuing, and distributing medical supplies to all hospital floor units, and documenting receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Determine replenishment requirements and manage inventory control.
• Locate, select, document, issue, and distribute medical supplies to all hospital floor units.
• Receive, store, issue, and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Maintain detailed inventory control system.
• Investigate property losses and discrepancies, report findings, and recommend remediation.
• Liaise with vendors and customers to ensure timely and accurate supply transactions.
• Prepare periodic and annual inventory reports.
• Assign work schedules, maintain time records, and train lower-level employees in supply and inventory control procedures.

Physical Requirements

Work involves standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, operating indoors and outdoors, working from elevated and confined spaces, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, using fine and gross motor skills, reaching overhead, performing repetitive motions, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs unassisted, and exerting up to 50 lbs of force. Candidates must maintain adequate vision, hearing, and sensory functions and be qualified for respirator use. The position requires rotating shifts, overtime, and a latex safe environment.
