Job summary

Gellert Global Group in New Jersey is seeking a Supply Planner I to manage purchase and distribution orders, align with MRPs, and collaborate across the supply chain to optimize inventory levels. You will coordinate with international suppliers, logistics and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery, monitor KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to customer satisfaction.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field; equivalent experience in the food industry.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Infor M3.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management best practices.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; detail-oriented with multitasking.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage purchase and distribution orders based on MRP requirements.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers to confirm production schedules, orders, and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with logistics, import clearance and warehouse teams for timely arrival and clearance.
  • Collaborate with senior planners to optimize stocking parameters considering forecasts, lead times, safety stock, MOQs, and transportation needs.
  • Proactively monitor inventory to minimize excess, aging, expiry, or dead stock; escalate as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to KPIs including PO volume, accuracy, costing, fill rate, and dead stock.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

Job description

Summary:

The Supply Planner I is an integral part of the supply chain team, responsible for Purchase Order execution in order to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet business objectives. This role focuses on purchase order management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, proactively addressing challenges in supplier management, logistics, compliance, and quality assurance. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, making it a vital contributor to GGG’s overall performance.

Essential Functions:
  • Execute and manage purchase and distribution orders based on MRP requirements and at the direction of the senior planning team.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers to confirm production schedules, order progress and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with logistics, import clearance and warehouse teams to ensure timely arrival and clearance.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Team senior planners & team leads to optimize proper planning and stocking parameters considering forecasts, lead times, safety stock, shelf life, MOQs, and transportation needs.
  • Proactively monitor inventory to minimize excess, aging, expired, or dead stock, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to KPIs, including PO volume, accuracy, costing, fill rate, DIOH, spoils, dead stock, and planned vs. manual order generation.
  • Align and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field and/or equivalent experience in the Food industry
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably Infor M3
  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience using MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Salary Range:

$65,000 - $75,000, plus bonus. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q1 of 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
