Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Surgical Materials Supply Coordinator to serve as the site lead for advanced supply chain management of surgical materials and equipment. You will oversee inventory, purchasing, receiving, distribution and obsolescence management to ensure uninterrupted care operations.

Purpose

The Surgical Materials Supply Coordinator provides knowledge, monitoring, maintenance & coordination of surgical materials, equipment & supplies.

Note: "patients" refers to patients, clients, residents, participants, customers, members

Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)

The Surgical Materials Supply Coordinator serves as the site lead & advanced supply chain management (SCM) specialist in alignment with system supply chain management processes & programs. Responsible for the onsite program, oversight of inventory, requesting, receiving, distributing, equipment & obsolescence management, stocking, purchasing & management of materials / supplies. Performs periodic PAR level replenishment duties using various resupply procedures to maintain stock levels. Provides overall surgical equipment support at the site of assignment, including equipment maintenance, processing, troubleshooting, resolving discrepancies & training. Monitors & provides guidance to optimize & / or improve inventory performance using available reports & tracking noncompliance. Supports supply chain in order processing, data entry & payment reconciliation. Supports planning, implementation, coordination & evaluation of various supply chain operations, projects, program management & service delivery. Maintains / supports computer-based support systems to ensure continuous operational availability.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Minimum of three years of full-time experience in a surgical setting or materials management.

Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Certification in materials management, supply chain, production & inventory, logistics or other nationally recognized designations.
