Under the general supervision of the Materials Manager, the Supply Manager I plans, coordinates, and administers inventory, warehouse, procurement, and supply management operations for assigned Department of Juvenile Justice facilities. Ensures the efficient acquisition, tracking, storage, distribution, and accountability of supplies, equipment, uniforms, and assets while maintaining compliance with state procurement regulations, fiscal requirements, and agency policies. Supports facility operations through exceptional customer service, accurate inventory management, effective resource stewardship, and continuous process improvement.
STATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
This position performs job duties relating to the custody, control, transportation, or recapture of youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the employee may have direct and indirect contact with youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Training applicable to these duties will be provided.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in an environment with incarcerated juveniles.
This position is an essential position.
PREFERRED AGENCY REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma and at least three (3) years of work experience directly related to Inventory/Supply management. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for work experience.
