Job description

THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This ND National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0878P01 and is part of the ND G4, National Guard.

PCS STATEMENT:

PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION.

NDNG Areas of Considerations (T32 Excepted Service) Area I: All onboard NDARNG Federal Employees (Tenure 1 & 2) Area II: All onboard NDARNG Federal Employee (Tenure 3) Area III: All NDNG military members Area IV: All Military Members Area V: All U.S. Citizens

MILITARY GRADES: Officer (O1); Warrant Officers (WO1 to CW4); Enlisted members (E-6 to E-9)

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. In addition to the general experience, applicants must meet the specialized experience. The specialized experience is described as one year of specialized experience at the GS 09 grade level or civilian equivalent which includes:

  • 1) Experience analyzing, developing, and evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc;
  • 2) Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment;
  • 3) Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures;
  • 4) Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.
