Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Supply Management Specialist - Supply Management in Ankeny, IA to join a premier manufacturing client. The role focuses on managing purchased parts, supporting commodity strategies, and collaborating with Strategic Sourcing.

The position is a 1-year contract with a $30/hour pay rate and a Monday-Friday shift 7:00 to 3:30. Ideal candidates have a 4-year business or supply management degree, proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Have a 4-year degree in a business-related field or supply management.
• Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independent judgment within set procedures.
• Basic experience with office/operational systems (4–6 months preferred).
• Preferred SAP experience, and inventory/parts knowledge in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchased parts delivery for internal and external suppliers at one or more locations.
• Support development and execution of strategies and contracts for commodities of lower value and complexity.
• Assist with cost models, spend analysis, make vs. buy studies, and invoice issue resolution.
• Utilize preset tools and formats to collate and analyze data.
• Work with Strategic Sourcing to address supplier performance and participate in supplier selection.
• Perform quality tests, inspections, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour (1-year Contract)

Shift: 1st shift position, 7 am to 3:30 pm

What’s a typical day as a Supply Management Specialist? You’ll be:

• Producing and updating complex Microsoft Office documents, databases, and departmental systems

• Possess strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independent judgment within set procedures
• Have basic experience with office or operational systems (4 to 6 months preferred)
• (Preferred) Have experience with SAP, inventory/parts in a manufacturing environment, and working with suppliers
