This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting product development by bringing to life new product designs into physical parts via project management on a part-by-part basis. Driving on-time delivery while maintaining cost, quality, and supplier relationships. Representing the Supplier in internal H-D discussions and H-D in Supplier discussions. Is accountable for effective supplier relationships and part delivery to ensure program success.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Focus on Quality, Cost, Timing - Lead negotiation with suppliers and internal stakeholders to align on best value for H-D in support of the organization’s goals. Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality counterparts to ensure execution of actions to meet part level deliverables.
  2. Project/Supplier Management - Manage and align supplier critical path plan to meet all project milestones. Drive on-time component development with key stakeholders (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management), advocating for supplier and Supply Management required lead times. Responsible to escalate issues as they arise throughout the part development process and create and execute recovery plans.
  3. Manage Internal and External Stakeholder Requirements - Manage and coordinate internal and external stakeholder requirements throughout all Product Development phases by using standard tools such as prints, SOWs, RFQs, PRDs, PPAP Checklists, etc. Key stakeholders include Suppliers, Engineering, Regulatory, Functional Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Packaging, Manufacturing.
  4. Provides informal guidance to new Supply Management team members and impacts the work of others within the group.

Experience Requirements
Required:

  1. Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of Product Development and key business drivers such as Developmental Purchasing, Indirect Procurement, Supply Base, or Supply Chain
  3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and/or team and provide guidance to new team members
Preferred:
  1. Experience in a manufacturing environment
  2. Motorcycle riding experience and knowledge in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories.
