Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a professional to support the Large Tractor product line, driving supplier collaboration and engineering design control activities. You will provide technical support for fabricated components, focusing on light fabrication and burn-to-shape manufacturing processes.

You will partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Category Procurement, Manufacturing, and Category teams to resolve supply and production challenges.

• Support the Large Tractor product line by driving supplier collaboration and engineering design control activities
• Provide technical support for fabricated components, focusing on light fabrication and burn-to-shape manufacturing processes
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Category Procurement, Manufacturing, and Category teams to resolve supply and production challenges
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and support sourcing and manufacturing decisions
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts to improve quality, shipping, and operational performance
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Management, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Analyze technical and business requirements to recommend solutions supporting business outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge through professional expertise
• Working knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing processes, and engineering design controls
• Ability to analyze supplier capabilities, quality performance, and business requirements
• Ability to communicate technical requirements and supply-related issues across cross-functional teams
• Ability to translate complex technical and business information into clear recommendations
• Ability to build partnerships with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
• Working knowledge of supplier capabilities, fabrication processes, and manufacturing requirements for sourcing decisions
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or supplier-related processes
• Experience with Teamcenter and engineering management tools
• Familiarity with Caterpillar purchasing systems and procurement practices
• Ability to work onsite five days per week at the East Peoria, IL, or Mossville, IL facility
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Must successfully complete a drug screen
• Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship
