Job summary

CELINE in New York is seeking a Supply Chain Trainee for a temporary assignment. You will oversee distribution planning across the store network and collaborate with merchandising and logistics to ensure product availability and timely deliveries to stores.

The role requires a bachelor degree in Supply Chain/Operations or Business Management, at least two years of work or internship experience, and fluency in English. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and VBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-year minimum work or internship experience.
• Must be available M-F, 9-6pm.
• Former experience in Retail / Distribution, ideally in Fashion and leather goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee distribution planning across the store network and ensure optimal product availability.
• Collaborate with logistics and merchandising teams to monitor stock and distribution to stores.
• Monitor and adjust target stock levels based on events, seasonality, and holidays.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor KPIs and supply chain performance.
• Partner with Central and Local logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries to stores.

Position: SUPPLY CHAIN TRAINEE

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

As the Supply Chain Trainee, and part of the Supply Chain Team, you will oversee distribution planning across our store network. As a key business partner to the merchandising and retail teams, you will collaborate closely with logistics and central counterparts to ensure optimal product availability for our business. You will report directly to the Senior Planner of the region.

YOUR IMPACT

Distribution Planning

• Monitor and adjust target stock levels to ensure alignment with business needs: anticipation of events, seasonality and holiday season while ensuring to optimize stock availability and coverage
• Monitor distribution to stores for several categories in collaboration with logistics and merchandising teams
• Manage overstock within the network through frequent pullbacks to maintain safety stock in warehouse for replenishment. Keep overstock levels within target
• Deliver timely and adequate service to fulfill store product requests and needs, fostering confidence and trust in our supply chain model
• Partner with Central and Local logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries to stores for autorep and seasonal orders

Projects

• Improvement of supply chain dashboards to monitor business performance and KPIs
• Manage product distribution to ‘out of network’ events and ensure clear communication between all departments on product availability
• Develop and maintain ‘reverse’ calendar for back-of-house teams to provide better visibility on the projected stock movements out of stores. Monitor compliance and conversion of these stock movements

KEYS FOR SUCCESS

EDUCATION

• Completion of Bachelor degree or equivalent, with Supply Chain / Operations or Business Management majors

EXPERIENCE

• 2-year minimum work or internship experience.
• Former experience in Retail / Distribution, ideally in Fashion and leather goods is a plus.
• Must be available M-F, 9-6pm

COMPETENCIES

• Great relationship building, capability to understand interlocutors and take inputs
• At ease with Analytics (Excel, Power BI, VBA)
• Proven interest for Fashion / Retail

Fluent in English with proficiency of other language(s) will be an advantage
