Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Tech Coordinator 1 for 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3:00pm-1:30am). This in-office role involves loading, unloading materials, pallet handling, and material verification.

A valid US driver’s license and the ability to obtain forklift certification are required, along with an active Secret clearance. Preferred qualifications include forklift/pallet jack experience, SAP, MS Office, and 6 months of warehouse or related experience in aerospace

• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company-owned vehicles.
• Must possess and maintain an active, in-scope Secret US Government Security Clearance. Final clearance required to start.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from date of submission.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
• Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials.
• Loads/unloads materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, or machines.
• Conveys materials using hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, or other devices.
• Pulls kits and verifies quantities and part numbers.
• Wraps and packs kits to send to offsite locations.

Position Description

Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Tech Coordinator 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA. 4/10's Mon-Thurs 2nd Shift 3:00pm-1:30am. Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.

Essential Functions

• Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
• Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.
• Conveys materials using hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.
• Pulls kits and verifies quantities and part numbers.
• Wraps and packs kits to send to offsite locations

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company-owned vehicles (potentially in the dark at times)
• Must possess and maintain an active, in-scope Secret US Government Security Clearance. Final clearance required to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from date of submission; this is a condition of employment. Program access required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using a forklift/pallet jack.
• Prior experience using SAP.
• 6 Months of Warehouse/Kitting or relatable experience.
• MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.

Primary Level Salary Range: $39,700.00 - $66,100.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
