Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Coordinator 1 to join our Palmdale, CA team. The role provides hands‑on support across planning, sourcing and production operations, with a focus on facilitating the flow of materials and information through multiple disciplines on the shop floor.

This in‑office position requires a high school diploma, the ability to work 2nd shift, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to use MS365 apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Must possess and maintain an active in-scope Secret US Government Security Clearance with final clearance to start.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program access clearance within 365 days of submission.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process.
• Provides administrative, tactical and execution support in Supply Chain planning, sourcing, and business operations.
• Loads, unloads, and conveys materials to multiple work sites with various equipment; assists in shipping/receiving.
• Release of Work Orders within S4/MES and verification of kit quantities and part numbers.
• Issuance of material to integration/production and coordination with shop floor teams.

This position is located in Palmdale, CA. Schedule 4/10’s Mon-Thurs 2nd Shift 3pm-130am Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.

Essential Functions

• Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process.
• Provides administrative, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain process areas, primarily Supply Chain planning and Supply Chain Sourcing, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations.
• Loads, unloads, and conveys materials and parts to multiple work sites, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
• Release of Work Orders within S4/MES.
• Verification of completed Kits for 100% Accuracy of quantities and part numbers.
• Issuance of Material to Integration/Production.
• Conveys materials using hand truck, forklift, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids by lifting heavy objects by hand.
• Works closely with the Integration team and shop floor.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company-owned vehicles (potentially in the dark at times)
• Must possess and maintain an active, in-scope Secret US Government Security Clearance. Final clearance required to start.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from date of submission; this is a condition of employment.
• Program access required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using a forklift/pallet jack.
• Prior experience using SAP/MES.
• 6 Months of Warehouse or relatable experience.
• MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.

Primary Level Salary Range: $36,500.00 - $60,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
