Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX seeks a Business Systems Analyst (Partial Remote) to design, develop, test, implement and maintain supply chain business systems and related processes. You will create reports, optimize workflows, and translate business needs into actionable system changes.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, documentation of requirements, and support for user acceptance testing, with partial on-site work and regular engagements across the healthcare supply

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Experience translating business needs into system enhancements, workflow improvements, reporting solutions, or configuration changes.
Experience with ERP, materials-management, inventory, or eProcurement systems, including EDI or supplier integrations.
Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics tools, with data-quality validation.
Experience documenting requirements, process flows, test plans and user procedures, and supporting user acceptance testing.

Responsibilities

Participates in design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business systems and processes.
Designs and develops reports using information systems to support business rules.
Coordinates user testing and presents results to IT staff and stakeholders.
Prepares functional specifications from high-level project definitions.
Trains users and develops training materials for new procedures and systems.
