ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Manufacturing and Electrical Engineering Industry-Specific Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships with manufacturers of transformers, circuit breakers, wiring, key technology, and other electrical infrastructure components to ensure business continuity and scalability.
Work closely with Engineering and Sales teams to align procurement strategies with evolving data center technology trends.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to drive cost reduction, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier performance.
Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with business objectives.
Market Research and Risk Management:
Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities and best practices.
Cross-functional Collaboration and Process Improvement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sourcing requirements and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Leadership and Team Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to sourcing and procurement team members.
Lead cross-functional projects to drive business growth and operational excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence key stakeholders.
Proficiency in procurement tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Experience in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations.
Knowledge of industry regulations and global sourcing practices.
Experience working with international suppliers and navigating global supply chain complexities.
Strong financial acumen to analyze cost structures and drive cost savings initiatives.
Ability to travel as needed for supplier visits, industry conferences, and company meetings.
