Overview:
Working in ADL’s Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for translating the master production schedule (MPS) into a feasible and accurate short-term detail schedule for a fixed time period, ensuring on-time availability of product while considering known constraints and planning parameters. The Short-Term Planner will:
- Provide key production planning information to support ADL's integrated business planning (IBP) processes within the 0-13 week horizon.
- Collaborate closely with the area's finite scheduler and product planner to generate feasible production schedules.
- Manage local weekly and monthly planning processes.
- Report key KPIs related to ADL planning performance.
- Facilitate weekly scheduling and capacity review meetings with production, QA, warehouse, and process development teams.
- Ensure a feasible manufacturing plan and release schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute short-term planning in their assigned area supporting Amgen’s S&OP process, including production, line scheduling, and shipment planning.
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvements, utilizing operational excellence (OpEx) and project management skills.
- Report on short-term planning performance metrics.
- Present analyses and recommendations to management when required.
- Communicate key changes to the master production schedule to the MPS lead.
- Provide SME support for NC/CAPA investigations.
- Manage SAP/RR transactions supporting production planning, capacity analysis, and procurement.
- Convert planned process orders to executable orders, ensuring plan feasibility.
- Coordinate with warehouse to ensure component availability and timely shipment.
- Monitor component availability against the plan.
- Plan and coordinate rework and scrap activities.
- Serve as SME for assigned tasks and support technical projects.
- Own KPI reporting and coordinate related actions.
- Analyze data to support projects and recommend improvements.
- Manage planning for a portfolio of commercial products, understanding all constraints and dependencies.
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience.
- 2-5 years planning experience in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with SAP ECC Planning.
- Knowledge of GMP standards.
- Familiarity with S&OP processes.
- Understanding of production planning concepts such as MRP and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s Degree or APICS certification.
- Over 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Understanding of Class A principles.
- Experience with Rapid Response RR and SAP planning systems.
- Experience in pharmaceutical production, especially fill-finish.
- Knowledge of QMTS.
