Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a biotechnology client to fill a Fulfillment & Inventory Planning Specialist role in Deer Park, IL. You will oversee day-to-day fulfillment activities, ensure inventory availability, and work with internal teams and external partners from planning to delivery.

You will help maintain customer satisfaction, reduce delays, and improve supply chain performance across the EMEA region with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in procurement and supplier management.
  • Experience using SAP for order processing, inventory management or related functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across departments.
  • Experience with third-party logistics, supplier coordination, or inventory replenishment is a plus.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • 100% onsite work environment in Deer Park, Illinois; early morning shift for EMEA operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer orders from planning through shipment, ensuring on-time completion.
  • Monitor open orders, inventory, supplier activity, and fulfillment exceptions.
  • Track inventory levels, demand forecasts, allocations, and upcoming commitments.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, Commercial, and external vendors.
  • Review aging orders and identify risks affecting deliveries or revenue recognition.
  • Maintain reports, dashboards, and action plans to improve visibility.
  • Investigate recurring issues and suggest workflow improvements to boost efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to backlog reduction through organized follow-up and cross-functional work.

Job Description

As the Fulfillment & Inventory Planning Specialist, you will oversee day-to-day fulfillment activities while helping ensure inventory availability and operational accuracy. Working closely with internal departments and external partners, you\'ll play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, reducing order delays, and improving overall supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the progress of customer orders from planning through shipment, ensuring each stage of the fulfillment process is completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor open orders, inventory availability, supplier activity, and fulfillment exceptions to proactively resolve issues.
  • Track inventory levels, demand forecasts, product allocations, and upcoming customer commitments to support operational planning.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, Commercial, and external vendors to eliminate fulfillment obstacles.
  • Review aging orders and identify potential risks affecting customer deliveries or revenue recognition.
  • Maintain detailed reports, dashboards, and action plans to improve operational visibility and accountability.
  • Investigate recurring process issues and recommend workflow improvements that increase efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives by identifying training opportunities and strengthening operational procedures.
  • Help drive backlog reduction through organized follow-up and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience with procurement and supplier management
  • Experience using SAP for order processing, inventory management, shipping, or related supply chain functions REQUIRED.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to collaborate across departments and follow through on complex issues.
  • Experience supporting third-party logistics providers, drop shipments, supplier coordination, or inventory replenishment is a plus.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • 100% onsite work environment Mon-Friday in Deer Park, Illinois.
