PTR Global in Norfolk, VA is seeking a procurement professional to manage SAP material and service requisitions and support the end-to-end purchasing process. The role collaborates with procurement, contracts, vendors and requestors to coordinate POs, revisions, and quotes, and to ensure accurate documentation for shipments, receiving and import activities.

A strong understanding of SAP, vendor onboarding, and logistics accuracy is required to drive timely approvals, tracking, and visibility

• Manage or support SAP material and service requisitions.
• Follow requisitions through buyer action and PO issuance.
• Coordinate PO revisions, contracts, change orders, quotes, scope, approvals and commercial documents.
• Support vendor setup, supplier readiness and vendor follow-up.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Contracts, vendors and requestors.
• Review new and pending REQs, remarks and attachments.
• Confirm required approval and identify missing information.
• Determine the next purchasing action.
• Update the response log and current status.

Logistics, shipments and imports

• Coordinate or monitor active shipments and deliveries.
• Confirm shipper, consignee, delivery location and delivery contact.
• Maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, freight records and country-of-origin information when applicable.
• Coordinate with vendors, freight providers and customs brokers.
• Follow documentation holds and retain proof of delivery.

Materials, inventory and receiving

• Search for existing materials and support Material Master/MMSR work.
• Validate manufacturer, part number, description, unit of measure, plant and storage information.
• Maintain visibility of inventory, spares and critical-spares needs.
• Coordinate packing slips, receiving evidence, shortages, damage and incorrect material.
• Confirm receipt status and material location; reconcile SAP and Sertica when applicable.

Funding coordination

• Maintain visibility of funding questions that affect procurement.
• Route unresolved funding needs to the appropriate decision-maker.
• Support work forecast discussions and applicable meeting coverage.
• Provide management visibility into significant procurement, material and delivery issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional decisions without assuming each workstreams transactions.
