Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 2 or Level 3) to join our Aeronautics Systems team. The position is in-office, 2nd shift, 4/10 schedule Monday–Thursday, with no telecommute option.

Responsibilities include defining material strategy, forecasting, coordinating demand, and coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain performance. DOD Secret clearance required or capable to obtain.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma with progression to college degree; relevant supply chain, procurement, logistics experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to organize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop material strategy and forecast delivery schedules.
• Assess supply chain resources and prioritize demand requirements.
• Collaborate with supplier quality, engineering, and production to optimize material flow.
• Lead cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
• Manage inventory levels and support long-term capacity planning.
