Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support program production with material strategies and detailed forecasting. The role involves on‑site work with a 9/80 schedule and no telework, and requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

You will collaborate with program management, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery of critical components while leading cost‑savings initiatives and ensuring quality. Travel is up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience or Master’s with 0 years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop material strategies to support program and production needs.
• Assess supply chain resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasts and delivery schedules.
• Participate in make/buy decisions, long‑term capacity planning, and ramp‑ups.
• Lead cost‑savings and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and meet schedules.
• Analyze purchase material supply/demand positions using MRP tools.
• Analyze lead times and identify critical‑path procurements.
• Work with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery at required quality levels.
